Tuna Loins with Sesame Dressing

The picture doesn’t do this dish much credit.  It was so good, and so quick and easy to make.  You could have a healthy supper on the table in 15 minutes…I swear.

This dish requires shashimi grade tuna (if you can find it) so that you can leave the centre nice and rare.  It only takes a few minutes to cook the dish.

I seasoned my tuna loins with Montreal Steak Seasoning and then seared in a nice hot pan in some olive oil.  Once finished place the tuna steak on top of some nice organic mixed greens, and drizzle with the sesame dressing.  The dressing is really good, don’t skip out on that one.

Sesame Dressing
 – 2 tbsp soy sauce
 – 2 tbsp mirin
 – 2 tsp sesame oil
 – 1 tsp dijon mustard
 – 2 tsp rice vinegar (I used the seasoned variety)
 – 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

The dressing makes enough for 6 servings.

So easy – give it a try – you’ll never want canned tuna again!
