Raspberry Gin Smash

I love a good Gin and Tonic, but sometimes I like to mix things up a little. This Raspberry Gin Smash is a nice refreshing summer drink you can enjoy on the patio.

It was a busy day around here with yard work and cleaning up the house so this short little drink recipe is a nice way to end the day. Also, after cleaning the house all day, I don’t want to make a huge mess in the kitchen.

How are you all fairing in this health crisis? I keep losing track of the days now that I am not working and taking kids to school each day. Anyone else losing track of what day it is? I hope that it is over soon. I sure miss visiting with family and friends and I hope that the kids can head back to school to see their buddies in September. I guess all we can do is be patient for now and take each day as it comes. We have been trying to keep busy getting things done around the house, yard, and have been playing a lot of cards. This site has kept me pretty busy too, thankfully.

This Raspberry Gin Smash is versatile, feel free to mix it up with whatever fruits you have on hand. We even added in some cucumbers with ours as my husband thought it would taste good. Mix it up to your liking.

I’ve used a simple syrup to sweeten this Raspberry Gin Smash. To make a simple syrup just use equal parts sugar and water and heat to dissolve the sugar, then cool down before using. I made mine with equal parts of honey and water and it worked perfectly.
