Chinese Pork ‘Bolognese’ Noodles

Chinese Pork ‘Bolognese’ Noodles. It sounds strange but it is yummy! This easy ‘Chinese style bolognese’ is a delicious and easy pork gravy slathered over noodles and topped with crunchy julienned veggies and fresh herbs.

If you have ever heard of the Chinese noodle dish called Zha Jiang Mian, this dish is basically a spin on that dish with easier to find ingredients for us North American folks. Basically it is noodles slathered in pork gravy and topped with some crunchy julienned veggies. I named it Chinese Bolognese as it kind of reminds me of a bolognese and pasta dish, except with Chinese flavors and it is super simple and quick to make. Not much simmering time required.

This recipe is adapted from one-off another food blog that I follow, I’ve pasted the link to the original recipe in case you would like to check it out.  Easy Zha Jiang Mian Recipe

I have taken a bit of a hiatus from blogging in the last few months, as personally we have had our world turned upside down with some curveballs around here. I wasn’t sure that I would be able to manage this site with all the changes in the last few months, but after a little break, I decided that I needed to make the time, as this really is my happy place. So alas, I am back! And what better way to break back in than some delicious noodles (you know I love my noodles)!

Also, I must make mention of a sauce that may not be easy to find that I have added on the recipe for this. It is optional but oooohhhh so worth finding if you can. If you do find, buy a dozen, put them in your pantry, thank me later! I’m seriously super addicted to this sauce. The picture below, so you know what to look for. OMG, this stuff is so good. I just bought this jar a few days ago and we are already halfway through. If you can’t find it, don’t sweat it just omit, but if you can…count your lucky blessings.
