Mustard Sauce (for Ham)

So this is an old-fashioned recipe that my Mom used to make all the time when we had ham, I love it.  Courtesy of Best of Bridge cookbook.  If you don’t own a Best of Bridge Cookbook, you really should, I have hundreds of cookbooks and I have to say, they are definately the ones I use the most.  This sauce is a great condiment for ham (also good with ham buns).  Super easy and quick to make too.

 – 2 egg yolks (try my cookie recipe and use the whites)
 – 1/2 cup sugar

 – 2 dessert spoons, dry mustard (or 4 tsp)
 – 1/3 cup white vinegar

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.  Let cool before serving.  Yep – it’s that easy!
