Jack & Coke BBQ Sauce
Delicious BBQ Sauce flavoured with Jack Daniels and Coca Cola. Orange Juice and zest brighten everything up and chipotle adds a nice smoky kick of heat. Make a double batch for all your summer BBQing Yields about 2-3 cups.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 10 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2-3 whole chipotle peppers in adobo + a tsp of the sauce
- 1/3 cup Jack Daniels
- 2/3 cup Coca Cola
- 1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice + the zest of 1 orange
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp wocestershire sauce
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the oil over medium heat and add in the onions. Let cook stirring ocasionally until softened.
- Add in the garlic and let cook about a minute.
- Add in the Jack Daniels. Let cook for another minute.
- Add in the remaining ingredients. Stir well. Reduce heat and let simmer until it reaches the desired consistency.
